This language and writing site targets upper elementary school and
middle school students. Contains lesson plans and a literary
magazine for students. The Alphabet Superhighway is under
sponsorship of the U.S. Department of Education's READ*WRITE*NOW!

MidLink Magazine ('M')
Billed as "The Electronic Magazine for Kids in the Middle Grades,"
this site includes "The 'Write' Spot" (stories written by "kids just
like YOU"), art work, Internet news stories and link sites. Chance
to look in on other classrooms to see what they are doing and, if
you wish, to e-mail them.

The Smithsonian has an extensive lesson plan database for teachers.

Theodore Tugboat Online Activity Centre ('E')
An online activity center for Theodore Tugboat where students can
help Theodore decide what to do next in an illustrated, interactive
stories, use the online coloring book to color pictures of
Theodore and his friends, or listen to a Theodore story.
