Scottish Council for Educational Technology BusyT to be utilized by teachers in Scotland
I am writing to ask permission to use material downloaded from your Web site in an educational CD-ROM for teachers of Art & Design and their students. The CD-ROM will be a teaching resource which SCET (Scottish Council for Educational Technology) is intending to produce in the near future.

SCET is a partially publicly funded body, receiving a small core grant from the Scottish Office Education Department and has a remit to produce a range of educational resources which fit the Scottish curriculum. For further information about SCET, please visit our Web site at: http://www.scet.com/

The purpose of the CD-ROM is to demonstrate to teachers how they might use the Internet to enhance their teaching. Your Web page(s) have been selected because they provide relevant information for teachers and because they provide opportunities for students to learn about relevant topics. We hope to encourage teachers to use the Internet by introducing them to the kind of resources which the Web offers. At present Internet access is limited in schools and hence the desire to provide the resource on CD-ROM format. Access is increasing and ultimately we would hope that teachers would use sites on the Web itself.

Internet World 1995 Best Site Award Internet World Magazine
Here's the quote: "Carolyn Cole had the same idea* in mind when she created the Busy Teachers' Web site. Like a one-stop shopping center, it allows teachers in a hurry to remember only one address, letting the links take them where they need to go. The site is graphical and well-organized, which always makes research a little less tedious." p. 37, Vol. 7, Number 1 (Jan 1996).
