Text Design Guidelines
- Text is an essential element of most interactive multimedia programs. Text is so
dominant in our world that it often over-looked in the design process. Some programs
appear as if the text has simply been "slapped on" the screen. Text must be as
carefully designed into interactive multimedia programs as any other elements (video,
sound, graphics, etc.). The "Text Design Guidelines" tool does not present hard
and fast rules for text layout, but does illustrate practical recommendations that should
be carefully considered.
Plan For Bidders' Session
- When contracting out for services, it is financially wise to ask for bids from several
different vendors to assure that you get the best value for your money. A "Bidders'
Session" is often held to provide potential vendors with the "Request for
Proposal" (RFP) related to the services you require. The "Bidders' Session"
allows the vendors to seek clarifications concerning the RFP before they submit their
bids.
Request For Proposal Template
- A carefully crafted "Request for Proposal" (RFP) is the key to getting the
best quality services you require for your project. This tool provides you with guidance
and a template for preparing a good RFP.
Production Assistance Request
- The "Production Assistance Request" is a tool used to specify the types of
production services you require from commercial vendors. The more detail that you can add
to such a request, the more likely you are to get the type and quality of production
assistance you desire.
Establishing Vendor Contracts
- During the production stage, it is frequently a wise strategy to contract out for
certain services such as video production or audio editing. If you contract out for any
services, you are advised to prepare a carefully written "contract" that will
protect you, your client, and the vendor as well. This tool provides you with guidance and
a template for "Establishing Vendor Contracts."
