Irasshai Home Page
Irasshai:The Japanese Language and Culture Distance Learning Course
This Web site was a partnership with PeachStar, the Educational Division of Georgia Public Broadcasting. The site is totally integrated with and supportive of the two year high school Japanese language curriculum. The language series includes satellite broadcast lessons, telephone interactions, and the Web site. The Web site is filled with valuable supplementary class materials and possibilities for practice, including hundreds of interactive reviews. Each of these is designed to build language skills in Irasshai students. The Launch Pad to Japan with its lesson-by-lesson links helps students study Japanese culture in-depth.

Georgia Stories banner
Georgia Stories: History Online.
A Web site in support of the excellent video series, Georgia Stories I and II, produced by PeachStar, the Educational Division of Georgia Public Broadcasting. We worked with practicing 8th grade teachers and pre-doctoral candidates from the School of History, Technology and Society at Georgia Tech, traveling to archives around the state, selecting primary source materials. These materials were then put to a critical review and placed online. We built support for their teachers and correlated activities to the Georgia Curriculum Standards.

We found that college students and other researchers also use the site with some enthusiasm!
