Chemistry through Inquiry: An online course for teachers ('E' 'M')
According to the site, this credit offering gives "3rd-8th grade teachers a fun way to improve their own science knowledge and learn about inquiry-based physical science activities their students will enjoy." By the American Chemical Society.

Explorers Guild
Foundations for the Future (F3) sponsors the Explorers Guild in Atlanta. This free monthly workshop is held in a classroom of the future where teachers and others can exchange experiences, learn from each other, and experiment with tools and technologies. PLU credits are offered for attendance. F3 is part of the Georgia Tech Research Institute.

Georgia Intern-Fellowships for Teachers (GIFT) ('M' 'H')
GIFT is a collaborative effort designed to enhance mathematics and science experiences of Georgia teachers and their students.  By offering business, industry, public science institute and research fellowships to teachers, GIFT provides educators first-hand exposure to the skills and knowledge necessary for the preparation of our future workforce: the students currently in Georgia’s classrooms.  GIFT teacher fellowships run from six to eight weeks during the summer and can be at a number of sites in Georgia.

JASON Professional Development Program for Educators in Science and Math ('E' 'M' 'H')
"JASON Professional Development gives busy teachers leading-edge, content-rich continuing education in science and math instruction via online courses as well as face-to-face on-site workshops."

Learning by Design Middle School Project ('M')
Learning by Design (LBD) is a Georgia Tech project-based inquiry approach to science learning in which students learn as a result of collaboratively engaging in design activities and reflecting appropriately on their experiences. We train teachers during summers to enact new and developing LBD curriculum units during the school year and collect data for us about student achievements and capabilities. Research Opportunities for Teachers
GTEC has received a NSF Research Experience for Teachers (RET) award that will enable K-12 classroom teachers the opportunity to experience research in the GTEC labs for 8 - 10 weeks each summer. This grant provides resources for the hosting/mentoring laboratory and for the teacher to purchase equipment for his/her classroom. GTEC has a standing collaboration with the Georgia Industrial Fellowships for Teachers (GIFT) program within the Georgia Tech Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics and Computing (CEISMC). The RET teachers are linked to the CEISMC GIFT program thus enabling interactions with their peers involved in other laboratories and providing support for development of classroom strategies for enhancing student learning when they return to their schools. Anyone interested in participating in the teacher experience, contact Shawna Young Garcia at shawna.garcia@ibb.gatech.edu.

WebQuests: An Online Workshop for Teachers ('E' 'M' 'H')
This expert-developed workshop (with potential teacher credit for completion) takes you from the concept of WebQuests to full implementation.  As the site says, "WebQuests are wonderful teaching strategies that prompt students to ask questions, focus on "using information rather than searching for it," and look at material critically. Plus, it's time efficient and integrates the Internet into the classroom. Participants of this workshop will learn what makes a successful WebQuest in the classroom and how to build a WebQuest for optimum learning." By the Educational Resources Center at Thirteen/WNET New York.
