My name is Sizemik, and I am a Southern flying squirrel. The "southern" in my common name must be relative. I do live in the southern United States, but I also live in southern Canada and pretty much everywhere in between. Perhaps "eastern" flying squirrel would have been better, but "southern" has stuck.
