Calling All Instructors!
Are you
interested in becoming a K.I.D.S. Club instructor
for the 2009/2010 season?
K.I.D.S. Club is a wonderful
opportunity to design and share hands-on science,
technology, engineering, and mathematics activities
with students in grades 2nd-5th on Georgia Tech’s
campus.
When is K.I.D.S. Club
holding meetings?
We're planning on having fall
sessions and spring sessions. The fall
sessions are identical in subject matter to allow us
to offer these activities to more students.
The spring sessions are also identical.
Fall Sessions: October 24 and November 14
Spring Sessions: January 16 and February 20
Since the lessons for the two fall dates will be
identical, and the lessons for the two spring dates
will be identical, it would be ideal to have you
teach both fall and/or both spring sessions.
If you are only available for one or two dates, we
would still love to have you teach!
What qualifications do I
need to be a K.I.D.S. Club instructor?
To lead a K.I.D.S. Club meeting,
you must be one of the following:
-Currently

How does the K.I.D.S.

compensation is $150.00 per Saturday, and you may
choose to lead as many meetings as you would like.
You must submit a “Session Plan” in which you design
an activity for a K.I.D.S. Club meeting.
What kind of activity do
I create?
-Session Plans must be based on sound, fundamental
principles of science, technology,
engineering, or mathematics.
-Hands-on activities must comprise 90% of the
session content and must illustrate the instructor’s
objectives.
-Session Plans must emphasize “learning by doing.”
-Your activity should encourage cooperative learning
and teamwork.
