What if I live outside of metro Atlanta or Georgia?
Each year a number of students from outside metro Atlanta and from other states attend the summer programs. Please understand that our programs are non-residential, and we are not able to provide housing or board for any attendees. Typically, these participants stay with family or friends that live in the area, or they stay in a hotel with family. If you need suggestions for a hotel, click on the Contact Us link to the left. All participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the daily program.

What is early acceptance?
Early acceptance is an opportunity for students to potentially secure a slot in a 2009 summer program before all other applicants.  Applications postmarked between February 6 - March 2, will be considered for acceptance.  Students that apply during the early acceptance period will be notified of their application status on March 23rd.  Those who receive early acceptance are required to pay a $100 non-refundable deposit by March 30th, or risk forfeiting early acceptance status.  Please make sure to check the Calendar page for all important dates and deadlines.

What if I do not apply during the early acceptance period?
CEISMC will receive applications until March 23rd (postmarked).  March 3 - March 23 is considered the general application period.  Any applications postmarked or received after March 23 will be reviewed after all other applications. If program spaces remain available after March 23rd, CEISMC will continue to accept applications for these programs. Please visit the website for the most up to date information on program availability.  Please make sure to check the Calendar page for all important dates and deadlines.

What is the wait list?
CEISMC receives more applications from qualified applicants than we have program spaces available. As such, CEISMC creates a wait list of qualified applicants that are not initially invited to attend the program.  Students are placed on the wait list according to the postmark of the application, and the list will be available online.  Students can check their position on the wait list at any time after April 3.  If any openings become available, students will contacted in order of names on the wait list.

Why do I have to pay a security deposit?
To ensure that applicants are committed to attending a 2009 summer program CEISMC requires a $100 non-refundable security deposit for every program you will attend. This security deposit will be applied to your program fees, and it secures your place in the program.

When is my security deposit due?
All $100 security deposits must be paid or postmarked by April 16th.   If your student is wait listed, and later accepted into a program, the security deposit is due 48 hours after you receive notification of acceptance.  Please make sure to check the Calendar page for all important dates and deadlines.

What if I don’t pay my deposit on time?
If your deposit is not paid on time, your acceptance to the program is forfeited. This includes wait listed acceptances.

After I pay the deposit, when do I have to pay the balance for a program?
If you are attending a June program, your balance is due May 4.  If you are attending a July program, the balance is due June 1.  You can, of course, pay your balance before these deadlines occur. Remember, your $100 security deposit will be applied to your balance. Example: $285 program fee, $100 non-refundable deposit due April 16, $185 program fee balance due May 4 or June 1.  Please make sure to check the Calendar page for all important dates and deadlines.

What if  I have attended in the past?
We do not keep any information on file from year to year, so students who have attended a program in the past need to fill out ALL registration materials.  If you received financial assistance in the past, you must apply for it again.  Admission to a program in the past does not guarantee acceptance to the 2009 programs.
