Middle School Programs - SummerScape
- Science, engineering,
mathematics, and computing enrichment camp for students
entering 7th - 9th grades. Three SummerScape programs
will be offered in 2007.

Morning Drop Off: 8:15 AM to 8:55 AM
Afternoon Pick Up: 3:45 PM to 4:15 PM
Program Description:
Would you like to make your own
movie or game? Would you like to build a robot that can
navigate an obstacle course, or sort your candy by
color? At the Georgia Tech SummerScape II camp you will
get a chance to do this and more. You will work with an
exciting program called “Alice” that lets you easily
create 3D games. You will assemble a robot and program
it to perform certain tasks with the LEGO NXT kits.
Applications require a $15 non-refundable Application
fee, one teacher recommendation from a math, science, or
technology teacher, and a copy of first semester grades.
Program Fee: $285.00 - must be submitted no later than
two weeks after being notified of acceptance.
(Refundable up to three (3) weeks prior to the beginning
of the camp.) Fees include instruction, lab tours,
materials and supplies, lunch, recreational activities,
and t-shirt. Students are supervised by undergraduate
students from University System of Georgia colleges and
universities or Advanced Placement junior and senior
high school students. Student assistant/student ratio is
1:10. Courses are taught by experienced math science,
and computing instructors. Teacher/student ratio is
1:20. Qualified students are accepted until camp fills
