About

Alba Castillo Gutiérrez joined CEISMC in August 2013. She is currently a Program Director with the School and Community Engagement team at Georgia Tech's Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC). She graduated from Kennesaw State University with a B.A. in Modern Languages and Cultures with a concentration in Spanish Literature and an emphasis on Education. She completed a Master of Social Work (MSW) in Community Partnerships.

She has experience working with culturally diverse populations and communities to promote education. Some of her professional experiences include working with K-12 students as an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Tutor, Title III Parent Facilitator, and Interpreter/Translator. At CEISMC she has contributed her knowledge to various programs. Currently, she manages the Georgia Code.org Regional Partnership and the Professional Teacher Development Program.
