David Barnes

 In his current full time role at CEISMC, David serves as an Education Outreach Manager for the AmeriCorps program, supporting K-12 initiatives, facilitating K-12 science and mathematics professional development programs for teachers and form long-term partnerships with school districts. Mr. Barnes is invested in increasing student interest and achievement in STEAM fields, by identifying barriers to student success. Mr. Barnes joined CEISMC as a tutor/mentor while pursuing his undergraduate studies at Morehouse College. Mr. Barnes graduated magna cum laude from Morehouse College with a B.A. in Psychology. He obtained a Masters in Mental Counseling from the Department of Counseling and Psychological Services in the College of Education at Georgia State University. In his spare time, David enjoys hanging out with his dog and spending quality time with friends and family.
