Justina Rodriguez Jackson joined CEISMC’s Research and Evaluation Team in January 2020. She completed her Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies, with a concentration in Research, Measurement, and Statistics from Georgia State University in 2020. She holds a Certificate in Qualitative Research from Georgia State University (GSU). Prior to her work at Georgia Tech, Justina was an elementary and middle school physical education teacher and interscholastic sports coach for seven years. In her doctoral studies, Justina was a Graduate Fellow in the Center for Teaching and Learning at Georgia State University. Her dissertation focused on the pedagogical development and support of graduate teaching assistants (GTAs) in university settings. As a member of the Research and Evaluation Team at CEISMC, she is an evaluator for the Georgia Department of Education’s Literacy for Learning, Living and Leading in Georgia (L4GA) to understand the impact of community and school partnerships on literacy outcomes. She is also an evaluator on the GoSTEAM@Tech, funded by the Goizueta Foundation, to understand and support STEAM teacher development in the Atlanta area. She currently serves on the Women of Georgia Tech Employee Resource Group Leadership Team as Advocacy Chair. Her research interests include culturally responsive research & evaluation, assessment, critical theory, and qualitative methodology.
