James Blumling

Research Scientist


James Blumling is a Research Scientist at the Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC). He is currently investigating applications of augmented reality to STEM education, and is specifically targeting K-12 classroom settings.
James received his Ph.D. in Bioengineering in 2012 from the University of California, San Diego, where his research focused on nanotechnology and drug delivery applications to the central nervous system. His bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Biology were obtained from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2006.
